Amazon shorts doesn’t seems to publish new authors and user generated content for its new series Amazon Shorts. The enphasis is placed on credited authors. I think it's a way to reassure the buyers that "real litterature."

The sales point 18th of May were :

  • "New York Times bestselling author Jacquelyn Mitchard's first novel"
  • "Veteran writer Steven D. Stark, pop culture analyst on National Public Radio and contributor to the L"
  • and even under the title 'New Author Spotlight: Bentley Little' bestselling author Bentley Little has been thrilling readers for…."

Amazon Shorts is a new program started by Amazon.com, the leading online book retailer, several months ago. Through the program, previously published book authors are invited to submit original short stories, essays, and more for evaluation. If accepted, the story will be published on Amazon.com under the Amazon Shorts section and each piece may be purchased for 49 cents. Stories are available in three digital formats: PDF, email, and as a HTML page. Purchased pieces are always available to the purchaser through their Amazon account’s Digital Locker.
